Roar downed Newcastle Jets 3-1 away on Sunday and Aloisi ruled out any potential move after the win.

It was reported by SBS The World Game on Saturday that both Ross and John could be heading to Cooper’s Stadium to succeed current United coach Guillermo Amor.

“It wasn’t a distraction because the players know I’m with them all the way. I want to stay at Brisbane Roar,” Aloisi said.

“There are still things we have to work out but I want to stay here. I didn’t even need to talk to them about it because I’m pretty sure they realise it’s not a true story.”

The brothers were born in Adelaide and are out-of-contract at the end of the season, however, John ruled out any talks between the two clubs.

“I haven’t spoken to anyone from Adelaide United and neither has my brother,” he said.

“Adelaide United haven’t contacted my agent. It’s disrespectful to us as a football club, Adelaide United as a football club and just disappointed that even gets published.

“I don’t even know why it gets published but anyway I’m pretty sure sooner or later you can’t write a story that’s got no actual truth to it.

“I’m really upset in having to even comment on someone. This is the fifth time he’s written a story that is just untrue. It’s total rubbish – the day before the game, he’s done that with other players…. our players and now with me.”

Roar’s next game is against the Reds away from home on Sunday, March 19.
