Former Sydney FC striker John Iredale has signed for the reserve team of German club VfL Wolfsburg.
Iredale, from Sydney, left the Sky Blues in June 2017 to join Dutch side Heerenveen.
After two seasons in the club's Under-19s and Under-21s, he departed Holland at the end of last season.
The 19-year-old trialled with Vfb Stuttgart, but was offered a two-year deal with the Wolves and has accepted.
Iredale has represented Australia at Under-20 level and was selected for a Socceroos training camp in Turkey last year.
VfL Wolfsburg's reserve team compete in the Regionalliga Nord, the fourth tier of German football.
