The Joeys got into double figures against Mongolia as they kicked off their 2018 AFC U16 Championship qualifying campaign in style.
The qualifying campaign is the start of the journey towards the 2019 U17 FIFA World Cup.
Australia are in Group I, pitted with Mongolia, Cambodia and Vietnam, with all games taking place in Mongolia.
Their opening game against the hosts on Wednesday saw the Joeys run out 10-1 winners and take control of the group.
Tyson Savas scored a total of five goals, including four in the first half.
Tristan Hammond also scored in the first half, with four other goalscorers coming in the second period.
After Savas made it 6-1, fellow Sydney FC team-mates Cameron Peupion and Jaiden Kucharski added to the scores, along with Noah Botic and Birkan Kirdar.
Vietnam defeated Cambodia in the other match 5-2, also moving onto three points.
The Joey's next game is against Cambodia on Friday, before facing Vietnam on Sunday.
The group winner advances directly to the 2018 AFC U16 Championships, with the five-best second-placed teams also making it through.
