Rogic was absent from the matchday squad that rolled over Ross County 5-0 overnight, after Lennon confirmed this week that the Socceroo had personally rejected the deal Celtic had accepted from a Qatari club.

Rogic had reportedly been suffering an injury recently, however the Socceroo has been back in training for the past week and will be fully available for next week. Fellow Celtic absentee Leigh Griffiths, who returned to Celtic training at roughly the same stage as Rogic, was also absent.

Socceroo scores and assists twice in Scottish masterclass

Socceroos forward Martin Boyle had a field day, scoring his third goal in seven Scottish Premier League matches in Hibernian's 3-0 rout of St. Mirren.

It's possible that Rogic could still seal a move away from Parkhead over the next couple of weeks, although some Scottish media is reporting that the Socceroo is keen to fight for his place, and Lennon has said that his transfer business is done and dusted for the window.

Lennon has been quite open about the fact his style doesn't necessarily suit Rogic in the past and has laid blame occasionally at the feet of the Socceroos for Rogic's persistent injury concerns.

However Lennon is now saying that he's happy to have Rogic around.

“He’s a fantastic player. I’m glad that he’s still here," Lennon said.

“He’s had some injury problems with his knee and recently an ankle problem, but it was good to see him out back out there training today.

“This weekend is too soon for him, but hopefully we’ll see him feature in the next few weeks.

“When he’s played under me the second time around he’s had a huge impact on the games. I’m just hoping he’s fit and available for selection a lot more.”
