According to reports, Dykes is a transfer target of Derby, Blackburn, Bristol City, Swansea, Cardiff and Middlesbrough in January.

The forward has impressed in Scotland for several seasons and was signed by Livingston from Queen of the South in January.

The 24-year-old has bagged five goals and two assists in 14 games this season.

Dykes hails from the Gold Coast and played in the National Premier League Queensland before moving to Scotland in 2016.

He has Scottish heritage through his parents and has never been capped by Australia.

Although the striker says he wants to play for Australia, he has kept his options open – and a call up for Scotland is still possible.

He told Optus Sport earlier this year: "Scotland took me in and they've they've done really well for my career and gave me a chance and then I'm really enjoying it here too.

"But obviously I'd love to play for Australia if I got the opportunity. And I think I could do a job job for them."

Dykes describes himself as big, powerful, fast, strong in the air with a "lethal right foot and I score for fun."

He added: "I was born on the Gold Coast. At a young age, I moved to Canberra with my family. My main sport was rugby league.

"I grew up playing a lot of sports, and then my mum and myself moved back to the Gold Coast and that's where I started playing football a bit more, is quite difficult for young players in Australia.

"My parents didn't have much money growing up and I couldn't go into academies and I couldn't go do other things you had to pay for.

"I didn't really get an opportunity to get in there and to show my talent or just do my best and then I ended up coming over to Scotland and they've took to me really well and I've, I've really been enjoying it."
