Uruguay forward Luis Suarez said on Friday after his team’s defeat to France, that their opponents were not only stronger, but showed they had greater experience.
France defeated Uruguay 2-0 to advance to the World Cup semi-final, which will be played in St. Petersburg.
“We felt that we could do better. France were not only stronger than us, but today they showed they are more experienced as tournament fighters,” Suarez told reporters, adding that Uruguay team had only themselves to blame for the defeat.
France will face Belgium or Brazil in the semi-final on 10 July.
