Francois, who left Craven Cottage at the beginning of the month after eight years on Fulham’s books, is in talks with several clubs, with father and advisor Jean Francois suggesting his future should be resolved imminently.

Conjecture surfaced several days ago linking the 23-year-old with an A-League switch to WSW.

However Jean Francois told FTBL on Friday: “Tyrese has options in Europe and the UK and won’t be returning to Australia.

“He hopes to have his future resolved within the next week or so.”

Francois was called up by Socceroos boss Graham Arnold for a two-match friendly series against New Zealand in September 2022, but was an unused substitute in the the second of those matches.

It’s no doubt the former Olyroos mainstay would have been capped at senior level had he broken in the Cottagers’ first team.

Not helped by injuries, he only managed four appearances for under Marco Silva’s reign before being ultimately let go.

During his time in west London, Campbelltown-born Francois also had loan spells in Croatia and Denmark, and he possesses the technical qualities to thrive on the Continent, or possibly the Championship, with his next move critical to his career progression and international future.
