The 20-year-old was on target in a 3-1 pre-season loss to German side Hannover 96 overnight.

Hannover opened the scoring on 11 minutes and Genreau equalised nine minutes later before the home side took the match with two second half goal (57’ 90’).

The French-born attacker is on a season-long loan from Melbourne City, reuniting with the A-League club’s former coach John van ‘t Schip, who is assisted by ex-Socceroo Michael Valkanis.

Since arriving last month he’s bagged three goals and was on target in a 3-1 victory over VV Berkum and in a 5-0 win over FC Dalfsen.

Genreau debuted for City in 2016 and has two caps for the Young Socceroos.

PEC Zwolle have targeted a top five finish in 2018/19 after finishing ninth last season.
