Exclusive: Australian goalkeeper Jordan Holmes has left English Premier League club Bournemouth in search of first-team football.
Holmes has been on the books of the Cherries since 2013 when he joined the club as a 16-year-old.
Now 22, the keeper is on the hunt for senior football.
He has been on the bench in the Premier League in the past and spent half of last season on loan at Scottish club St Mirren.
Holmes confirmed to FTBL that he had left Bournemouth.
"I have turned down a contract at Bournemouth so currently speaking to other clubs,” the Sydneysider said. "I need guaranteed game-time now."
The keeper, who came through the NSW Institute of Sport and the AIS before heading to England, did not make a first-team appearance for St Mirren in the six months he was there although he played for the reserves.
But Holmes believes the time with the Buddies, who narrowly avoided relegation in the play-off final after winning a penalty shootout against Dundee United, was beneficial.
"It was a very good experience, I benefited massively from it,” he said. "St Mirren is a good club, a family club. It was great to be part of it."
Holmes played on loan for National League South clubs Weymouth in 2015/2016 and Eastbourne Borough in 2017.
He has made seven appearances for the Young Socceroos and two for the Olyroos.
The former Rockdale City Suns and Sydney United 58 junior said he was open to a move to a club in the UK, the A-League or Europe.
"Anywhere honestly," Holmes admitted. "Anywhere that guarantees games."
