  • More than 100+ Australians are based abroad, with the vast majority seeing game time.
  • A certain manager named Ange made a monumental piece of history this past week.
  • Elsewhere a couple of young defenders in Norway and Italy are slowly making a name for themselves.

UK

In the English Championship, Kenny Dougall scored once and picked up an assist across eight starts for Blackpool, whilst Callum Elder made three appearances for Hull City. Meanwhile, Riley McGree scored twice across seven appearances for Middlesborough.

In the English League One third tier, Cameron Burgess made four starts for Ipswich Town. Ryan Williams made six appearances for Oxford United, whilst Massimo Luongo made six appearances for Sheffield Wednesday.

Jack Iredale picked up one assist across six starts for Cambridge United, whilst Bailey Wright played seven full games for Sunderland. Jay Rich-Baghuelou scored twice across seven full games for Accrington Stanley, and Gethin Jones played seven full games for Bolton Wanderers.

In the English League Two fourth tier, Reagan Ogle played one full game for Hartlepool United, whilst his teammate Nicholas Bilokapic also played one full game for the club.

Dean Bouzanis played seven full games for Sutton United, which included an unfortunate loss in the EFL Trophy Final after extra time. Thomas Beadling picked up one assist across five starts for Barrow AFC. Meanwhile, manager Jon Brady finished the season at Northampton Town with four wins out of seven league games. His side finished fourth on the table, qualifying for the promotion playoffs.

In the English sixth tier, Joel Rollinson made five appearances for Eastbourne Borough. In the seventh tier, Akiel Raffie scored once across five appearances for Nantwich Town, Callum Kealy made one appearance for Worthing FC, and Julian Schwarzer played one full game for Kingstonian FC.

In the English youth leagues, Tyrese Francois played one full game for Fulham U23, Shae Cahill made one sub appearance for Everton U18, and Jacob Chapman was an unused sub once for Huddersfield Town B.

In the Northern Irish third tier, Nicholas Aretzis played two full games for Bangor FC.

In Scotland's Scottish Premiership, Celtic's Tom Rogic scored once across four appearances, and Cameron Devlin made one sub appearance for Hearts. Devlin's teammate Nathaniel Atkinson made four starts for the club.

Ange Postecoglou led Celtic to a perfect April in the league, eventually leading to the title being secured at the start of May. Unfortunately, Celtic were knocked out of the Scottish Cup at the semi-final stage.

In the Scottish third tier, Aaron Lennox started twice for Montrose.

In Wales, Kai Calderbank-Park made two appearances for Connah's Quay, whilst Joe Faux made six appearances for Caerrnarfon. After securing the league title in March, Anthony Limbrick led The New Saints to another excellent month in April, with his side finishing the season with five wins from six, and an astonishing 21 points clear of second place.

EUROPE

In Austria, James Holland played five full games for LASK Linz. In the second tier, Tristan Hammond made five sub appearances for FK Austria Wien II.

In Belgium, Trent Sainsbury scored once across two full games for KV Kortrijk, whilst James Jeggo started twice for KAS Eupen. Jeggo's manager, Aussie Michael Valkanis, led Eupen to two defeats to end the season, but they survived relegation by finishing 15th.

In the Bulgarian second tier, Milislav Popovic scored three goals across five appearances for Strumska Slavia, whilst Iliya Shalamanov-Trenkov was an unused sub five times for FC Litex Lovech.

In Bosnia-Herzegovina, Ante Bakmaz scored twice across four appearances for NK Jedinstvo Bihac.

In Croatia, Deni Juric was an unused sub five times for Dinamo Zagreb. Anthony Kalik picked up one assist in five starts for HNK Gorica, whilst Doni Grdic was an unused sub four times for HNK Sibenik.

In the second tier, Nikola Jadric made five appearances for HNK Orijent 1919. In the third tier, manager Zeljko Kalac and his NK Urania Baska Voda side have moved off the bottom of the league after winning four of their five games in April. One of his players, Kristian Slunjski, made one sub appearance. Josip Zelic made one sub appearance for NK Tresnjevka, whilst his teammate Oliver Kalac was an unused sub once for the side. 

Meanwhile, Nathan Bogadi made one sub appearance for NK Lukavec. In the youth leagues, Gabriel Popovic played one full game for NK Rudes, Tomislav Glavan played one full game for NK Istra 1961, and Brandon Slunjski made one sub appearance for HNK Sibenik Youth.

In Cyprus, Antonis Martis played one full game for AEK Larnaca. In the fourth tier, manager Perry Moustakas and his APEA Akrotiri side are currently top of the league.

In Denmark, Joel King started twice for Odense BK, whilst Lawrence Thomas played three full games for SonderjyskE. In the second tier, Con Ouzounidis played one full game for Esbjerg, Peter Makrillos made five appearances for FK Fredericia, and Panos Armenakas made five appearances for Vendsyssel. In the youth leagues, Jing Reec scored twice in five full games for AGF U19.

In Estonia, Aamir Abdallah made five appearances for Parnu JK Vaprus.

In Finland, Tete Yengi scored twice and picked up an assist across five appearances for Vaasan Palloseura. In the third tier, Harrison De Nicolo played two full games for FC Vaajakoski.

In the French Ligue 2 second tier, Alex Gersbach played five full games for Grenoble, whilst Denis Genreau made five appearances for Toulouse.

In Germany, Ajdin Hrustic made four appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt, who progressed through to the UEFA Europa League Final.

In the second tier, Brandon Borrello made two appearances for Dynamo Dresden, Jackson Irvine started three times for St. Pauli, and SV Sandhausen's Alou Kuol picked up a red card on his only sub appearance.

In the third tier, John Iredale scored twice and picked up an assist across four appearances for Wehen Wiesbaden.

In the fourth tier, Martin Gorrie was sent off once across four appearances for SV Tasmania Berlin, whilst Jacob Italiano made three appearances for Borussia Monchengladbach II. In the fifth tier, Michael Houdek made three sub appearances for FC Monchengladbach, whilst his teammate Cameron Kemp played five full games for the club

Nicholas Simpson, Mark Rizoski, and Alec Vinci all featured for BCV Glesch-Paffendorf. Simpson picked up an assist on his only sub appearance, Rizoski made one sub appearance, and Vinci played three full games for the club.

In Gibraltar, Matthew Nezval scored twice and picked up one assist across three starts for Manchester 62.

In Greece, Bruce Kamau made one sub appearance for OFI Crete. In the second tier, Paul Izzo played three full games for Xanthi, whilst Emmanuel Pavlis made four sub appearances for AO Egaleo.

In Iceland, Joey Gibbs started three times for Keflavik IF, whilst Hosine Bility made one sub appearance for Fram Reykjavik. In the second tier, Hassan Jalloh signed for H Kopavogur.

In Israel, Nikita Rukavytsya was an unused sub once for Hapoel Be'er Sheva.

In Italy, Cristian Volpato was an unused sub once for AS Roma. In the second tier, Fran Karacic made four sub appearances for Brescia, whilst Alessandro Circati picked up two assists across four starts for Parma.

Manager Roberto Venturato, in charge of SPAL, guided his side to four draws across six league games in April, and they finished 15th on the table to survive relegation. In the third tier, Gabriel Cleur started three times for Virtus Entella, whilst Thomas Galletti was an unused sub twice for Piacenza. In the fifth tier, Alberto Del Grosso started once for US Cisanese ASD.

In the youth leagues, Jahce Novello made two appearances for Cosenza.

In Montenegro, Andrew Marveggio made one sub appearance for FK Jezero.

In the Netherlands, Danny Vukovic was an unused sub four times for NEC Nijmegen.

In North Macedonia, Davor Trifunov started twice for FK Borec.

In Norway, Gianni Stensness played five full games for Viking FK. In the third tier, Kasey Wehrman guided Strommen IF to two wins from four to start the season, with the side currently fifth on the table. Aiden Harvey and Cameron Crestani, who play under Wehrman, both started four times.

In Poland, Jordan Courtney-Perkins was an unused sub four times for Warta Poznan. In the third tier, Gian Mendez made one sub appearance for Znicz Pruszkow.

In Portugal, Ryan Teague made two sub appearances for second tier side S.C. Covilha. In the third tier, Danny Choi started three times for Canelas 2010. In the youth leagues, Presley Ortiz started four times for OS Belenenses U19.

In Romania, Harrison Devenish-Meares played two full games for second tier side SSU Poli Timisoara.

In Spain, Mat Ryan was an unused sub four times for Real Sociedad. In the fourth tier, Andrew Mesourouni was an unused sub once for Lleida Esportiu, whilst Santino Swanson Manuel was an unused sub once for Merida AD.

In Swedish second tier, Peter Gwargis scored once across three appearances for Jonkoping.

In the Swiss youth leagues, Liam Chipperfield made one sub appearance for FC Basel U21.

In Turkey, Aziz Behich played five full games for Giresunspor, whilst Awer Mabil made four appearances for Kasimpasa SK.

ASIA

In Bangladesh, Aaron Reardon picked up one assist across three full games for Mohammedan Dhaka.

In China, Daniel Wong signed for second tier side Hebei Kungfu FC.

In India, Travis Major picked up two assists across eight starts for Punjab FC, David Williams scored four times across two full games for ATK Mohun Bagan, and Brad Inman made five appearances for Mumbai City.

In Indonesia, Aaron Evans saw his contract expire at PSS Slemen.

In Japan, Mitchell Langerak played eight full games for Nagoya Grampus, whilst Adam Taggart made two sub appearances for Cerezo Osaka. Kevin Muscat guided Yokohama F-Marinos to two wins out of three in the league, and they currently sit third on the table.

Muscat's side also cruised through the group stages of the Asian Champions League, winning four games in April to progress to the knockout stages.

In the second tier, Mitch Duke scored twice and picked up one assist across four starts for Fagiano Okayama, whilst teammate Stefan Mauk scored once and picked up one assist across four appearances for the club. Peter Cklamovski led Montedio Yamagata to an unbeaten month, and they are currently fourth on the table.

In Korea, Harrison Delbridge played three full games for Incheon United, Alex Grant played three full games for Pohang Steelers, and Lachlan Jackson played four full games for Suwon FC. Ben Halloran started once for FC Seoul. In the second tier, Ryan Edwards made four appearances for Busan IPark, whilst Aaron Claver made three appearances for Gwangju FC.

In Malaysia, Declan Lambert, Ryan Lambert, and Giancarlo Gallifuoco all featured for Kuala Lumpur City. Declan Lambert started four times, Ryan Lambert made four appearances, and Gallifuoco played four full games for the club. Shane Lowry played seven full games for Johor Darul Ta'zim, whilst David Rowley scored and assisted once across five full games for Pahang.

In the Philippines, Aussie manager Graham Harvey guided Kaya to two wins in the Copa Paulino Alcantara group stage.

In Saudi Arabia, Martin Boyle scored and assisted once across six starts for Al-Faisaly.

In Singapore, Blake Ricciuto played three full games for Tanjong Pagar.

In Thailand, Anthony Carter scored once across two sub appearances for Bangkok United. Carter is coached by Aurelio Vidmar, who guided the club to a win, a draw, and a loss in the league in April, and they finished the season in third place on the table.

Meanwhile, Joshua Grommen started four times for Khonkaen United. In the second tier, Maxx Creevey started five times for Khonkaen FC.

In Vietnam, Martin Lo started twice for Hai Phong.

AFRICA

In South Africa, Abraham Majok was an unused sub once for AmaZulu FC, whilst Kearyn Baccus made four appearances for Kaizer Chiefs.

NORTH AMERICA

In the MLS, Brad Smith started twice for DC United, whilst Milos Degenek started four times for Columbus Crew. In the second tier, Mitchell Osmond played five full games for Forward Madison FC.

Meanwhile, manager John Hutchinson and his El Paso Locomotive FC side picked up one win from four in the league for April, and are currently seventh on the table. Unfortunately, Hutchinson's side were knocked out of the US Open Cup in the second round.

In the third tier, Lachlan McLean picked up three assists across five appearances for Northern Colorado Hailstorm, whilst Joshua Phelps picked up one red card across five starts for Tormenta FC.
