Socceroo Trent Sainsbury could line-up for Inter Milan as early as Monday morning (AEDT) after the ex-Central Coast defender joined the Italian giants.
Inter’s 2-1 loss to Lazio in the Coppa Italia this morning (AEST) came with a price. Brazilian centre-back Miranda was given his marching orders after a last man tackle on Ciro Immobile in the penalty area which was converted by Lucas Biglia.
Sainsbury was tipped to replace defender Andrea Ranocchia who departed Inter on loan to English Premier League strugglers Hull City.
Inter confirmed the deadline day swoop on a short-term deal, confirming he'll wear the number 20.

Back in Australia, Melbourne Victory defender Carl Valeri spent time with Inter in the beginning of his career but could not break into the Serie A side.
Valeri spent time working under current Inter manager Stefano Pioli in his time with Grosseto and Sassuolo.
The 2010 World Cup Socceroo felt Sainsbury could get a decent run under Pioli.
“It’s a fantastic move, he goes to a massive club in Europe with massive backing,” Valeri said.
“He’s (Pioli) a great man and he gives people chances, he doesn’t look at names and he likes people who work hard. I hope to see Trent running around in the starting XI.”
Valeri said the transfer would be good for his experience as he remains in strong contention for the Socceroos which are seeking a berth at the World Cup in Russia.
“Trent’s already an established defender in my eyes. He’s done fantastic for Australia and fantastic for himself, but it’s never too late to learn,” he said.
“I’m still learning today here at Victory and I’m sure Trent from what I see and what I’ve got to know he’s a good character and someone that will embrace it and want to keep learning.”
The Socceroos’ next qualifier is against Iraq in Tehran, Iran on March 23.
