Leicester's Australia defender Harry Souttar has penned a season-long loan deal with Sheffield United, while West Ham have signed Argentinian Guido Rodriguez.
Australia defender Harry Souttar has joined Sheffield United on a season-long loan away from Premier League Leicester.
The 25-year-old, who has 30 senior caps to his name for the Socceroos has made only 16 appearances for the Foxes since joining from Stoke in January 2023.
Scotland-born Souttar told the Blades' website after joining the Championship side: "I don't need to tell anyone how big the club is.
"As soon as I found out I was available and the club was looking at me, it was a no-brainer to come here.
"I knew that it might be on for a couple of weeks, but over the weekend I was waiting on the phone call telling me to come up to Sheffield. I can't wait to get started."
Blades boss Chris Wilder said: "Getting someone of Harry's calibre and experience is a huge plus, and he'll add some steel to our defensive unit.
"His height and power are exactly what we've been looking for since we lost a couple of experienced heads, but with the loan market we have had to bide our time a little in order to get him here.
"Harry's still only 25 but he's been around a long time. He can handle the highest of levels as shown with his appearances for Australia, and again he's someone who knows this division and what is needed to be successful in it."
Meanwhile, Premier League side West Ham have signed Argentina midfielder Guido Rodriguez.
The 30-year-old joins the Hammers on a free transfer after his previous deal with Spanish side Real Betis expired earlier this summer.
Rodriguez, who plays at the base of midfield, was part of the Argentina squad which won the World Cup in 2022 and the 2021 and 2024 Copa America titles.
"I feel like it's every footballer's dream to play in the Premier League, and I was very excited when I heard that West Ham were interested in me," Rodriguez said.
Norwich City have signed Manchester City defender Callum Doyle on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old travelled with Pep Guardiola's side on their pre-season tour of the United States but is yet to make a competitive first-team appearance for the club.
Elsewhere in the Championship, West Brom have signed winger Lewis Dobbin on a season-long loan from Aston Villa.
The 21-year-old moved to Villa in June, having made 15 Premier League appearances for Everton and also spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Derby.
West Brom also confirmed the arrival of left-back Gianluca Frabotta from Juventus for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal.
