Josh Nisbet has been snapped up by Scottish top-flight side Ross County on a three-year contract after the Australian international's "exceptional" A-League Men campaign.

The 25-year-old midfielder was a key figure in helping Central Coast Mariners to a domestic treble last term.

Nisbet also won the Johnny Warren Medal as the best player in the 2023-24 A-League campaign and was also rewarded with his Australia debut against Lebanon in March before winning his second cap against Palestine in June.

Nisbet has now joined the ever-increasing contingent of Australians plying their trade in the Scottish Premiership, much to the delight of County boss Don Cowie.

"Joshua is a really exciting addition to the group," the manager told the Staggies website.

"He had an exceptional season last season, winning both team and individual accolades which has resulted in him breaking into the Australian national team.

"There has been a lot of interest in Joshua from all over the world but we are absolutely delighted that he has chosen to join the Staggies for the next steps in his career."
