The 23-year-old, who was part of Graham Arnold's Olyroos squad at the Tokyo Games, has decided to join an undisclosed A-League rival having played the last three years with the Phoenix.

Piscopo played 59 games for the Nix, scoring eight goals and creating eight others, and helped them play finals football this season.

"I wish him all the best and I thoroughly enjoyed working with him," Phoenix coach Ufuk Talay said.

"Reno's a talented player, which I still believe hasn't really reached his full potential. I think injuries hindered that potential and talent to come out the last two seasons.

"He's a good kid ... I think he'll have success wherever he goes because I think he has the right tools to do that."

Meanwhile Melbourne City FC have announced the signing of defender Callum Talbot on a three-year deal.

Talbot, 21, joins from Sydney FC where he made 23 senior appearances including five in the 2022 AFC Champions League.

"I am absolutely buzzing to be joining such a big club," he said.

"Melbourne City has really established a winning culture over the last few years and I look forward to helping continue that.

"There are so many top players at City and I cannot wait to play with them rather than against them."
