A fresh-faced Pararoos squad will gather in Glenwood this week for a final training camp before their World Cup campaign kicks off in July.

Coach Kai Lammert is using the camp - which will be open for the public to watch the team's preparations - to flesh out his squad to take to the showpiece in the Spanish city of Seville. 

The Pararoos have improved at each World Cup campaign culminating in an impressive yet emotional 10th placed finish at the 2017 tournament in Argentina, after their preparations were wracked by funding uncertainties.

This campaign was subsequently featured in the hit documentary 'The Pararoos' by Fox Sports' Tom Ferguson.

Team veterans from their last outing such as Ben Atkins are likely to represent Australia again in 2019, however, they'll be battling it out with nine teenagers included in the squad, many under 18-years-old.

“Our three-day camp in Sydney this week will give us the chance to integrate several new players into the Pararoos family and grow our extended squad,” Lammert said. 

“We will have four uncapped players with us in Glenwood, so this will be a great opportunity for them to demonstrate their abilities and impress as we continue to work towards this year’s World Cup in Spain.

“There are now less than three months until our World Cup kicks off in Seville, so we need to make the most of the days that we have together as we work towards our goal of finishing higher than we did in 2017."

Lammert's squad will once again face the Argentines, with whom they had an epic battle at the 2017 Cup, alongside powerhouse Spain and world number one Ukraine.
